So last night my friends and I were talking about Christmas presents as we are all makers and as I try to do my best to get or maker presents my friends and family will love I was asking them questions as you do and one of my friends asked me to make her Christmas tree decorations. Which was kind of my plan anyway but when it came to colour scheme she told me to surprise her. Normally this would require a lot of consideration but I had an idea and I am liking the results so far. Sorry to say I can’t post any photos until Christmas as I don’t want to accidentally ruin the surprise. Well hopefully she will love it and her actual Christmas present which will be on theme.
Speaking of presents, my other friend who’s house we were at got Christmas themed star earrings and a spotlight gift card for her birthday. I know she loves Christmas, dressing up and of course spotlight, our biggest craft store. I have the feeling my birthday present will involve Dr. Who and embroidery which will be epic. Her husband is the boom for buying her the embroidery machine and having seen the thing in action last night I have to say it is kind hard core, for sewing equipment.
I’ve been making an effort to clear up all my unfinished bits and bobs to save room and well just get things done and have less half finished things around, so I’ve been finishing up minie stars from the colours I’ve been using and admittedly making some from scratch with the colours. At the moment they are all sorted by colour but eventually I will mix them all up and put them back into the pretty jars I got for them. Each star will be unique, as I’m only doing one of each pattern/colour combination.

Also something from last year, I was making Ferrero Rocher bead baubles for a Christmas tree only they were a little too big and then I had run out of gold beads and that was that. Turns out that they fit into the box ok and my friend was impressed with how it turned out so I might make one or two more with the baubles I still have sitting around. Unfortunately I don’t have enough gold beads for my Christmas tree project so it will have to wait until next year.
Night Lou and the recusant Kea who is on my case about finishing the brooches.
who knows I might get some of them done tomorrow.
