I cannot believe that I actually forgot to post on Wednesday, oh well I shall have to try to do better. It has been yet another busy week but it has also been productive so that is something. Also my best friend gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Wednesday, which is very exciting. Hum what else.
Well as you know I have been working on star ornaments for Christmas.
The latest update for my computer is nothing but a pain, it has had only unfortunate changes, like hijacking my background; messed with my iTunes library, getting rid of the handy features, making it a massive pain to navigate, and making it almost impossible to load photos to upload and edit them. Basically it’s stuffed up almost everything I actually use. Why apple feels the need to constantly bombard its users with constant and useless updates is a mystery, hopefully one day soon windows and apple with have a decent competitor that leaves the mammoths in the dust where they currently belong. As it is at this point in time the photos might just have to be put up unedited and of lower quality.
*edit* well there are photos up at the very least.
I have also been adding to my mini star collection as I am sure I have mentioned the majority are made with size 11o delica beads, but there are also some smaller ones made with size 15o cylinder beads, which I adore and wish came in more colours. My aunt asked for a snowman which I am making in the 11o beads so when it is finished I will post a photo of it next to my little snowman in size 15o so you can see the difference. its amazing how much a few points of a millimetre makes a difference.
I have also finally managed to actually finish some brooches and will continue working on getting more done, though unfortunately I’ve run into a bit of a problem with the round pin’s I brought for the smaller flowers, and net flowers, which I am not sure how to work around at the moment.
I did make a pink mirror prism but some how made an error somewhere and the last side did no zip up correctly as one side was shorter than the other and it is hard to tell just how many of the six sides of the join are incorrect. And off the four sides I have joined the second layer in at three different points, so the mirrors all sit further in or out depending on where the second layer was added. Oh well it will join the Iceberg of failed attempts and I shall give it another go. Ah it is getting late so I will stop waffling on.
Nightie night. Lou.
