Day by Day

My WIP and the small pile of red beads left.

Well I have gotten as far as I can on my sphere with the red beads I have; not enough beads remain to finish another triangle but I did manage to get half done and I really like how it is turning out. I have ideas for more project of the kind but they will have to wait.

For the last few days I have been listening to The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, which I am truly glad to be done with. It was a droll book, that when on and on about a lot of idiotic people, none of which were endearing. I was only reading it as it was on my Been There, Done That list and then after twenty hours or so I was only continuing to read it because I had already spent so much time reading it and was simply detriment to finish it. Now I can say that I have read it and hate it very much. And then I reread stardust by Neil Gaiman and will now be on a Neil Gaiman binge for the next few days to up lift my spirits before I can even contemplate going on to anything heavy or droll. Really TBK was almost became the second book book I’d give back for a refund, and I still have Crime and punishment and the Idiot to go in that volume, but as I have read one book I’ll not give it back on principle.

And day by day the year passes and it grows very close to my 30th Birthday. My mum has already given me a beautiful Opal necklace and I wrote about the toy wombat dad gave me thinking that he had missed my birthday.

Kommo Toera Wetland Trail, Mackay QLD Australia

Yesterday morning I went for a walk in a small but lovely wet land area on the edge of town near out harbour. There are heaps of monarch butterflies around, though they are hard to get photos of. I really need to get out of the house more but there are so few nice places to walk about in town; hopefully one day I will be able to live out of town in the mountains and rainforest, where I can spend hours every day walking. Hum that is really a nice dream.

Well as always I have things to do and lots of projects to dream of making.
Love Lou.
