Ok so first off some exciting news that I am geeking out about. In my last post I mentioned about some 2d patterns I brought and was making, well anyway I posted some pics of the finished products and tagged the designer, and well we got talking.. So Fridays post will be an Artist feature! My first one I’m so damn excited. And I am sure you will love her totally cute designs as much as I do.

I wore my ghost earrings to the markets today and my cousin Kea was thrilled with her Gnome earrings which was so cool. Its great to live with someone who adores funky earrings, because I happen to like making them every now and then. Talking about earrings Kea had brought several pairs and I now own a pair of sparkly pink gummy bear earrings.

I promise to put up photos of my hand made earrings on Friday for the Artist feature.

The photo of the brown star was a bit of an experiment that took up most of yesterday morning it didn’t work for what I wanted it to but I’m sure it will work for something else, a brooch or flower maybe. I did find two patterns on the internet that were more like what I wanted to do and may have brought the one that looked closer to what I was trying to achieve. We shall see.

My next experiment today works but I’m having trouble with my tension on this as the hexagons are warped and not flat. Still it might work for something else and we’ll have to see about that as well.

The good news is that I have decided what to do for my next geometric project I just have to decide on the colours and patterns.

I know it’s something I shouldn’t focus too much on but my instagram page is slowly gaining new followers and getting more interactions. Hopefully soon I’ll hit the 2000k followers mark. My green thing post has 228 likes on instagram so far and I think it will be one of my most liked posts to-date.

Other than that I’m starting a new job next week and will have to get use to staying up late which is killing me right now but it’s better to change my sleeping habits this week than wait until next week.
